Video is the next big thing and we need your help in creating compelling, top-quality video pieces that will win the internet (or at least the fishing communitysmiley). You will be responsible for handling all processes of post-production, from logging to assembly through final delivery.

We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding and appreciation for internet storytelling through video and audio. You will be in charge of editing existing video content, including the creation of visual effects and graphics for all video productions which will in turn create a positive impact on our brand, both with our customers, captains and potential employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Non-linear video editing and rendering/encoding for a wide spectrum of specifications and file formats

  • Deliver video files for the web including compression, exports, and archiving

  • Gather appropriate, on-brand b-roll assets, research and edit stock music tracks

  • Be able to take a job from start to finish (rough cut, fine cut, color correction)

  • Ensure highest quality standards through attention to detail  and editorial judgement in all stages of creative process that innovates and maximizes new creative opportunities.

  • Experiment with new and innovative editing techniques

  • Maintain a library and archive of all content

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in video production, preferably in an agency, corporate or marketing communications specific environment

  • You have an extraordinary sense of taste and an ability to adapt to a variety of visual styles

  • You have a proven understanding of devices, frame rates, compression schemes, file formats and cameras.

  • You have energy, drive, passion and enthusiasm to do and be the very best and are a driven leader who approaches things with a sense of urgency

  • You can provide examples of work that demonstrate creative sensibilities and represent an artistic point of view

  • You have in-depth understanding of video production processes, non-linear editing, and motion graphic techniques and programs: Adobe Premier Pro CC (preferred), Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Expertise w/ social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter is strongly desirable, as is the ability to stay current w/ new technologies in the post-production environment

  • Must have a passion for storytelling.

  • Advanced spoken and written English is a plus.
