Tyler is one of the top guides on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Logging over 250 days a year on the water he has the skills and knowledge to put you on fish! A former president of the Baylor University collegiate fishing team and veteran tournament angler, Tyler is an experienced guide. He owns and operates Torwick’s Guide Service and offers his clients exciting fishing trips for Largemouth Bass on Lake Travis, Lake Decker, and Lake LBJ.
With numerous tournament podium finishes with the FLW college tour, Texas Tournament Zone, Media Bass, and several other trails, Tyler has the skills to teach you to fish like the pros. He also offers “coaching trips” customized to more veteran anglers looking to focus on education more so than just catching a bunch of fish.
Tyler’s specialty is teaching anglers how to understand patterns rather than fishing “spots”, how to utilize your electronics to their full potential, and how to get better at offshore fishing.
You will be exploring the deep and rocky Lake Travis and its clear waters with artificial lures. Your vessel for the day will be a 21’ Skeeter Bass boat. The boat can cruise at a hair-raising 65 knots thanks to her 250 HP Yamaha SHO engine. There is plenty of space for up to 3 anglers.
The boat is rigged with an Ultrex 112 trolling motor, as well as with other navigational and fishfinding electronics to build up a clear picture of where the fish are hiding.
All trips come with the use of gear and tackle by Shimano and Dobyns, as well as lures. The only things you need to bring are a valid Texas fishing license and snack/drinks if you like, bottled water is provided.
