I purchased a full day trolling with captain Sonny and I really enjoyed every minute of it except for the 30 minutes of seas sickness I had to endure. First piece of advice is to take some over the counter medication prior.

Sonny and first mate Po were absolutely awesome. During our day Po would share many different activities available on the island with me that I was not aware of.

I was able to bring in 3 nice tunas. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to bring in that prized blue marlin but it’s definitely not because we didn’t try everything. Anyone who does any type of fishing on a regular knows that there are good days and there are not so good days. It’s called fishing for a reason.

I didn’t just sit back and watch them do everything, I wanted to learn and assist with anything I could and they allowed me to do so. I highly recommend these guys for any fishing trip off the island. I will definitely be returning even if it’s just for the fishing opportunity. Well done guys 👍👍

Booked a trip with Aikane Sport Fishing with pickup from Hickam AB. First things first, they let you keep your fish! Regardless of the size, if you want it you can keep it. Second thing of note is they are a little less expensive than the other charters. I googled and did other research and Aikane was best value for the buck.

This is my second trip with Captain Sonny and all I can say is he got us on some fish today. Last time out with Aikane we caught skunk but this time we caught a BEAST!  Blue Marlin, about 98 inches long from fork to chin and about 1.5 hours fight. We also hooked a Short Bill Marlin but he got off about 3/4 way back to the boat.  We decided to split the fish with the crew and have given away most of the catch to neighbors and family.

The trip today ( FEB 17), was a thrill and an adventure that will last a life time.  We were involved in every aspect of the catch from reeling the fish in to hoisting it up on the dock to helping clean quarter and icing the fish. Some might say that all that is the crew’s job but I say it is truly living in the moment.  From a genuine fisherman’s perspective, that is what fishing is all about.  We truly appreciate Captian Sonny and Deck Hand Kama’s efforts today and letting us be involved in the moment.

10/10 would recommend, 10/10 recommended to friends and 10/10 will repeat.

Had a great trip with Captain Sunny . The boat was very comfortable , the bathroom was clean . The deck hand Kama (not sure on the spelling of his name ) was super knowledgeable very cool people. The highlight of my Hawaii trip . Only did a 6 hour trip it flew by going to do a 10 hour trip in a couple months. Thank you guys again.

My wife, son and I all had a wonderful experience. Captain Sonny was a true gentleman. He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off safe and sound after the trip. The fishing was slow, but the crew worked their tails off for us. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at the fish and were a wealth of information on fish, other wildlife ( pilot whales, flying fish, etc.) and general island knowledge. Barry, the pilot and especially Bulla, the deckhand had answers to all our silly questions and we came away happy and satisfied.

We had an amazing day catching fish with Bulla, Paul and Captain Barry. The crew was awesome, professional, knowledgeable and made an awesome expirence for our group. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun day of catching fish out on the water! I’ll be back for more🐟
