Maverick Sportfishing - Pacific Fly
Maverick Sportfishing operates a fleet of top-of-the-line vessels along Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast. Jump aboard the “Pacific Fly”, and head offshore in search of Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, and more.
You will be launching out of Quepos’ Marina Pez Vela, known for its beautiful vistas, numerous bars, and a little thing called the IGFA World Championships. Every year, the world’s greatest sportfishing teams battle it out in the deep waters around Quepos. This is the home of legends.
The Pacific Fly is the perfect boat for doing battle against the incredible fish waiting at sea. Her outriggers and downriggers will spread your lines far and wide to give you the best trolling spread. You can fish with lures, or switch up to live bait. The boat has a livewell and tuna tubes to keep your baits fresh, however big they are. She also has a fighting chair to let you hold your own against the ocean’s top predators.
And the Pacific Fly is good for a lot more than the fishing itself. Step below deck, and you’ll find a full bathroom, cabins, a galley, and plenty of space to relax in air-conditioned comfort. Head back out, and you can lounge on her front sun deck, or climb up high to her wide flybridge to take in the view. Even non-anglers in your group will have a very special day onboard.
Maverick Sportfishing supplies all the equipment for a wide range of techniques. A mix of light and heavy tackle is combined with the option to troll, jig, pop, spin, bottom fish, and even fly fish with prior notice. All trips come with snacks and drinks, and full-day charters also include lunch.
In short, these guys have thought of everything so you don’t have to. Just bring your fishing licenses, your camera, and plenty of energy. Because the fish here absolutely won’t come quietly!
