When I set up the trip, I told Jorge that I didn’t care what we caught, just try to put us on fish. And man did he deliver! After each of us had boated a Tuna, I asked if we could try to pick up a Cubera Snapper. Not only did we land a nice one, we also picked up a bonus Mahi Mahi! Being surrounded at times with literally hundreds of Spinner Dolphins, it was more than we had hoped for. Jorge and Enrique were very pleasant and worked hard to give us a great trip. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, no frills, fish catching trip, look no further. I will go again in a heartbeat if I get the chance. Thanks again Jorge and Pura Vida!

Although the boat was not as big and comfortable as others, Jorge and Enrique were awesome!! We caught two sailfish, four huge yellowfin tuna and a blackfin tuna. They took us to an area where we were surrounded by hundreds of spinning dolphins! It was absolutely beautiful!

They filleted our fish and cut and served our pineapple into a beautiful dish. They cut some of our tuna and made sashimi with wasabi and hot sauce. They had delicious sandwiches, plenty of beer and drinks, and chocolatey snacks for the four of us.

Overall, it was a wonderful time and got to take some fish home with us. I would 100% recommend Jorge! It was a great day! Pura Vida!

Captain Jorge was awesome! We did a 5 hour morning trip with him and caught a giant Cubera Snapper and sailfish. My husband did all the fishing and his only ask was to catch a fish he could eat. We accomplished this and made lots of wonderful memories while doing it. Captain Jorge was able to cut and clean the fish for us on the boat and even made a fresh ceviche like dish for my husband to enjoy right after catching the snapper. We then got to take our catch to a local restaurant for them to cook for him. Captain Jorge also had cold waters, beer, fruit and snacks for us to enjoy out on the water. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Before the trip, I told Captain Jorge that my dream was to catch a sailfish. The dream came true almost immediately when we arrived at the fishing spot.The day only got better from there as we managed to catch a total of 6 sailfish, 2 yellowfin tunas, and 2 mahi mahis. Each catch was a thrilling experience, further heightened by the expertise and support of Captain Jorge and his deck person. Their professionalism and passion for fishing were evident, making us feel both welcome and in capable hands.

The best moment of the day was an unbelievable double catch of two sailfish. They were both caught at the same time, and my girlfriend and I got to reel them in together!

Though the boat may seem small compared to others offered in the area, it proved to be nice and highly capable on the water.

Besides the fishing experience, all the snacks and drinks were tasty, and we even got to taste fresh tuna with soy sauce and wasabi. In addition, we saw dozens of dolphins jumping around the boat several times.

Overall, I would give the experience more than a 5/5 rating if possible. Now I have to relax my muscles as I got to feel what sportfishing means. Thank you for this trip, it was amazing!!!

We told Jorge that we just wanted to catch fish. He didn’t care for the chance to catch a big one. Just wanted tight lines and reel some fish in. He mentioned the first reef is about 12 miles away. Our first stop we caught a couple snappers. The next stop we got a cubera snapper. My son was having a great time. We lost a few but that’s all part of the game. Jorge got a call from someone and they were on mahi mahi’s. He let us know and the decision was up to us but it’s about 30-45 min away. We asked our son if he wanted to try for some mahi mahi also told him that there is a good chance we might not catch one. He was happy with the snappers we caught and he wanted to go for it. When we got to the new location, we started to troll. In less than 30 min we were on a huge mahi mahi. My son was so excited. We brought in a huge one. Before our day ended, we brought in another 2 mahi mahi’s! We had a great time and Jorge is great! Very understanding and helpful. Only thing we wouldn’t do is bring our catch to the restaurant to prepare. We brought our catch to the restaurant and thought it would be discounted as we brought the main protein in everything we ordered.  They charge us $140! We were shocked.
