We are a family of four with young teenagers.  Novice fishermen looking for a fun day on the water.  Reel Busy Shark Charters did not disappoint.  On the captain’s advice we stayed inshore due to rough waters and wind.  I will say without hesitation, that Bill was fantastic with our kids.  He instructed the kids on casting and catching, and kept their hooks baited.  He knew the spots and had us on fish early and often.  Even though the wind was a challenge, the captain knew where to go out-of-the-wind to catch the fish.  Captain Billy worked his tail off to ensure we had the best day.  Great company…funny guy…very knowledgeable.  I can’t say enough positive things about our trip.  We saw plenty of sites as well.  Dolphin, a gator, lots of birds.  Although we were a family, I suspect there’s a wild side to the captain.  So whether you are a family or a a bunch of adults.  Be confident that Billy will see to all your needs.  And a special shout out to Kathy (or is it Cathy)...you made the day even more fun.  No need to think hard about this.  Bill is a great guy who’s goal is to deliver on a great day out on the water.  Book a charter with him and rest assured you’ll be well taking care of.

This was a great trip!  To save reading, we will charter with Reel Busy Shark Charters again!  We lost count, but estimate that we caught about 16 fish totaling close to 400 pounds!  We released them all.

When we pulled up to the marina, it was raining pretty good but cleared off pretty soon.  We had mostly clear weather through the trip.  The first thing we did was to agree with Captain Billy Stafford on what kind of fishing we wanted to do and we decided to go after redfish.  As it turned out, we caught a few hammerhead shark as well.  They liked the crabs that we were using as bait too.

The fishing tackle we had was fairly light for fish is this size which made for a lot of fun with both the sharks and the redfish.  It’s amazing how much of a fight both kinds of fish can put up.  we would get them almost to the boat, they would see the boat, and then they would take off again!  Great fun!

Reel Busy Shark Charters can go after just about any of the fish species in the area, so don’t let the name fool you!  Talk with Billy before your trip about what you would like to fish for and he knows where they are and how to catch them! 

Highly recommended!  As I said earlier, we plan to charter with Billy again!

There was wonderful communication with the Captain before the trip even began. We were told the seas were going to be rough conditions and that we could still go out if we would like but the Captain knew we were taking our daughter with us and it may not be ideal for a ten year old. We chose to stay inland and caught several fish however the majority were too small to come back with us. The Captain attempted many different spots to see if bigger fish would be available. We stayed out for an extra two hours but it just wasn’t the day to stock the freezer! It was a wonderful trip and we will definitely try again!

Captain Billy put us on fish all day long! Some of us were pulling them in two at a time. We went offshore and caught a ton of black bass, and even some toadfish and octopi. He even stayed out with us a little longer even though our time was up because we were having so much fun. It was a great trip!

We stayed real busy all day, reelin in reds on Reel Busy!  Shark got to one of em right by the boat and all I brought in was about a 10 pound fish head.  Tarpon and sturgeon were busting out of the water around us all day long.  Dolphins and alligators came by to visit, and we even saw the crab boat fella from the movie the peanut butter falcon (no kidding).  Would do it again tomorrow if Capt Billy had an open day, but he’s already booked!
