Coastal GA Fishing–Shellman's Bluff
Explore the diverse waterways of Georgia’s coastline with Coastal GA Fishing. They have been fishing these waters for over 30 years and know what it takes to catch fish! Whether you’re a single angler looking to discover a new fishery or a family group excited to spend some quality time together in the open air, you’ll find a trip for you here.
Your trip will start at Shellman Fishing Camp, a coastal paradise that looks out onto the coastal marshes on one side and Blackbird Creek on the other. These estuary waters are protected by a chain of islands, starting with the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge and eventually joining the Atlantic Ocean past Sapelo and St Catherines Islands.
This mix of waterways creates the perfect environment for a rich variety of coastal species, including big Red Drum, Spotted Sea Trout, and even Tarpon in season. Your captain will provide all the equipment to hook up on these and many more local species. If you’re a fan of fly fishing, bring your own equipment and your guide will help you perfect your cast in the local flats and marshes.
Your trip will take place on a clean and well-maintained 22’ Pathfinder, which is equally suited for fishing the inshore creeks and flats, and for heading past the islands and up to 8 miles offshore. Just let your captain know what you want to get out of your trip, and he’ll tailor the experience to your needs. Captain departs from several marinas in the area. Contact the Captain to see which one would work best for you.
All the fishing gear you’ll need during your trip will be ready and waiting at the start of the day. The only things you need to bring are any snacks and drinks you’d like for the day, weather protection, and polarised sunglasses. This is a family-friendly charter, and kids are welcome aboard.
Whatever your experience, contact Coastal Ga Fishing to show you the best that the area has to offer!
