Strongly recommend Captain Matt. Especially if it’s 2 people- can’t get any better. It’ll be just 2 of you and Captain Matt. It was a beautiful day and we caught a couple of Bonitas right away. Out of nowhere a lot of weeds moved in making trolling very difficult but Capt Matt was relentless and both my son and myself landed a big king fish each. What a fight they gave. The experience was awesome. Matt wanted us to catch some more very badly but the weeds ( very unusual) was not helping. We were extremely satisfied with the experience but he wanted more than us for us to catch more ( lol ) . The price is unbeatable too for a personal experience as you are not sharing with a group.

We had a great time with Captain Matt. He was very knowledgeable and taught us about the area. I’ve been on a few expensive fancy Sportfishing Charters and none of them came as close to the fun we had with Matt. He knows how to put you on fish and where to fish. He also knew which techniques to try and gave us several tips. We had several good fights trolling, and the shark got us once. Thanks Captain Matt for a great time!

Matt was a great captain, and got us on fish in no time. Was super responsive with booking, and well trusted as a captain. No doubt in my mind that you’ll enjoy your trip with Matt. Super short trip from the dock to the inlet as well, so we didnt spend much time on traveling to fishing grounds. all in all highly recommend and we’ll be booking with Matt in the future.

Great fishing experience. Lots of knowledge, any questions were answered. Matt is a funny guy who was very pleasant to be around. Overall I would highly recommend this for any level of experience. You WILL catch fish.

Phenomenal day with Captain Matt!  I wanted to learn about fishing in south Florida, in anticipation of retiring and getting my own boat down here, and Matt provided everything I could have hoped for and more.  Very personable and communicative - I learned so much I feel like I could go out on my own tomorrow if needed, though I’m certain I would not be nearly as successful as I was with him.  7 species caught!! (note: I’m counting a small amberjack and a snagged balleyhoo in this list, but still!).  As an avid fisherman, 6 hours was perfect.  Lots of time to find a bird pile and then try a few different things until we got the mackerel and rainbow runners on the bite, and then a few hours trolling (until we came across a log with mahi and triple tail - what a blast!  Highly recommend for singles or pairs who really want to fish (as opposed to being toured around in a cabin cruiser).
