My 18 year old son and I booked a 6 hour trip with Captain Matt and All Good Charters. Matt was super friendly and helpful and really knows the area. The boat is small but fast and he easily gets around the Ft Lauderdale waters. Fishing was slower than usual the day we went, according to Matt, but we still caught some mighty impressive fish, including a 30lb Amber Jack! We got a few other keepers and Matt cleaned and fileted them for us.  He recommended a restaurant just a few blocks away where they cooked and served or fish, so we had that for lunch right after our trip.  Best tasting fish I’ve had!!  It was a great and unforgettable trip!

I want to start this by saying that I fished with between 20 and 30 Fishing Booker captains over the years, all over the country.
Captain Matt was by far the best captain I have fished with. Professionally, he was super knowledgeable, and very willing to share all of that knowledge, and teach me about the ecosystem, and the fishery that he loves.

Personally, he was just a great guy to fish with. It was more like fishing with one of your fishing buddies, then fishing with a captain that I have never met before. We shared fishing experiences and above all, the love of the chase. There are a bunch of great captains on here, but what sets Matt apart is he’s great human being.

This part of the story needs to be told as well, I had a great sail fish on within an hour, and another captain chose to run across my line and I lost what was a fish of a life time for me. Personally, both of us wanted to lose our minds over this very unprofessional act, but as if your professional captain, he used this emotion to motivate him to get another one. He dug in his heals, and decided that “this act” would not define “this trip” . An hour or so later this my next “fish of a lifetime”  came boat side for a quick pic. Fishing is a roller coaster of emotions, good and bad, how Captain Matt handled it was professionally admirable, and personally rewarding for me.

Captain Matt was excellent! My son and I went down for the six hour insure out your trip and right off the bat captain Matt had us catching fish! Captain Matt was so very conscious of myself and my son, who got a little ill due to the higher winds and waves And was able to settle us both down, he was also constantly looking for signs of different types of Gamefish that we were able to explore. We had a wonderful day of fishing. I would recommend Matt and his personalized touch to anyone.
