Captain Mike Cacchio fell in love with Florida fishing as a teenager, and he can’t wait to help you discover these waters! Behind the helm of Back At It Fishing Charters, he specializes in exploring St. Augustine’s famous flats, backcountry waters, inlets, and nearshore fishing grounds, home to a huge host of incredible species – Redfish, feisty Tarpon, and plenty more. Get ready to experience inshore Florida fishing at its finest!
Growing up in New Jersey, Capt. Mike spent plenty of time fishing the local canals, but it was a trip to Florida after college that made him truly fall in love with angling. In 2009, he decided to settle in St. Augustine, and use his years of knowledge and experience to run first-class fishing charters. He welcomes every type of angler to join him on an adventure, and especially loves teaching little ones how to fish.
You’ll be fishing from Capt. Mike’s 22’ Sportsman bay boat, perfectly built to navigate Florida’s seriously shallow flats and skinny backcountry waters. She can accommodate up to 4 guests, so bring along your family, or indulge in some friendly competition with your best angling buddies. On board, you’ll find top-notch navigational and safety gear, and a wireless trolling motor so you can sneak up on your catch.
There’s a reason why Capt. Mike named his charter “Back At It” – he specializes in exploring this area’s incredible backcountry, as well as the flats and local inlets. You’ll have the chance to experience light tackle backwater fishing, head to the Intracoastal waterway, and even bottom fish, depending on the time of year. You’ll be hooking some world-famous Florida fish, including the “Silver King” (Tarpon), Snook, huge bull Redfish, Red Snapper, Grouper, and plenty more.
Each trip includes rods, reels, bait, tackle, and a fishing license. Come aboard Back At It Fishing Charters and get ready for an incredible angling adventure, Florida-style!
