If you’re looking for the ultimate Alaskan fishing experience, you’re at the right place. M/V Alaska Ocean Pros aren’t new to Alaska fishing – they are professionals. Operating out of Homer, Captain Gabe Linegar and his deckhand are both experienced, friendly, fun, and you’re guaranteed to have a great time fishing with them!

Fish aboard the “M/V Kingpin,” a 43’ Delta Marine offshore sportfishing boat, fast, safe, and comfortable. It can carry up to 12 anglers of all skill levels and comes powered by powerful twin 600 HP Cummins engines. M/V Kingpin also has sleeping quarters, bathroom facilities, TV, downriggers, and is wheelchair accessible. The boat had a full makeover in 2016 and features the latest and the best in marine electronics and safety gear.

The captain will take you exploring the bountiful nearshore/offshore and reef hot spots. You’ll be deep sea fishing, bottom fishing, and jigging for some of the most attractive species in the area. Depending on the bite, you could be filling your coolers with Rockfish, Chinook and Coho Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and so much more.

You’ll be supplied with first class fishing gear – Avet reels and Seeker fishing rods. The charter also covers lures and catch cleaning. You just need to get an Alaska Fishing License, which can be easily obtained online.

    This is a 10–12 hour fishing trip for Halibut. Your limit is 2 fish per person. One Halibut can be any size; the second Halibut has to be under 28”. Anglers are allowed a total of 4 Halibut a year. Sometimes you won't get a chance to catch the fish under 28” because the crew is concentrating on catching as big of Halibut as possible.

    This 10 hour trip will see you targeting as many fish as you can. This is a light tackle jigging trip that will usually have you using spin rods. It's great for all ages. When it comes to the species, Rockfish, Salmon, Cod, Kelp Greenling, and Yelloweye are all possible, but no Halibut!

With love for the Ocean and thousands of hours of hard work, Captain Gabriel and his team have grown a reputation no one can beat.
