Captain Pearson and Christian were awesome, made our 6hr trip unforgettable! We were catching fish within 30 minutes of leaving the dock! And we kept on catching them the entire 6hr trip, I’ve never caught so many fish on a private charter before! We maxed out on our limit of king mackerel, maxed or almost maxed out on spanish mackerel, caught 2 1/3 nice amberjack (shark ate most of the biggest AJ), caught a nice gag grouper, and caught a ton of bonito. It was a mixture of trolling, deep trolling, and jigging for live bait to use for bottom fishing. Highly recommend these guys, I will be booking with them next time I am in Destin!

Great day, caught fish, had fish cook at local restaurant.  Captain Matt and deck hand Zac were both great and worked hard to put us on fish.  It was a good time making great memories!!

We did learn, however, even though a particular species is in season and they typically are found in deeper water that a 10-12 hour day WILL NOT get you far enough out to get to them.  We went just under 40 miles out and needed to be 70 + miles out, so if we were to do it again we would not spend the $$ for anything more than a 6 hour trip but would invest in an 2 or 3 day.

We know there is never a guarantee but we do wish we had been told this up front when we inquired and read the reviews.

Amazing trip! Best charter ever. Captain Mathew is extremely committed to making sure you are on fish. He was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to messages and questions. We wanted to have realistic expectations and he far exceeded those.
His first mate Christian was very attentive and never stopped during the trip. I can’t believe we caught so many different species during a 6 hr trip. We were on Red Snapper, black snapper, Vermillion, Spanish mackerel, Triggers and finished the day with a sandbar shark. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to rebook!

OK, where do I start these guys on the trip Captain Matthew and his son are wonderful down to earth people. This was my wife and I second deep sea fishing trip and my aunt’s very first time, so of course she was a bit nervous. They were so great and made our experience so memorable and made sure that we all had the best time! We also trolled on the way out to go bottom fishing, which was awesome to be able to do both!

We booked a 5 hour evening trip and we caught some nice fish. (Red snappers, Mingo snapper, trigger fish, and Bonitos) A few we had to throw back because they were too small, but even on a hot day, we caught quite a few. The captain did a great job of taking us around to different spots to catch them whenever the bites started slowing down. We still ended catching more than a lot of the others that went out that day, so that was great! The boat was very nice and clean even after their morning trip. A nice smooth ride the whole time, and you can not forget about the great air conditioning on a hot day!

So, yes, seeing dolphins out on the water is nothing less than beautiful, of course, but while fishing, it’s not so great. Captain Matt did a great job of running away from them when they started trying to take our fish. Although I will say that one grabbed my red snapper for a while and put up one heck of a fight, great news I still got the fish!

Last but definitely least, after our 5 hours came to an end, the captain got a call about a huge whale shark in the area.  He asked us if we would like to go see it and we said of course. Seeing a creature of that size was just absolutely awesome, and also rare around Destin he said that’s the second one they’ve seen in about 7 or 8 years.  We have plenty of pictures and videos of these memories.
