STSL is a guide service, born from life-long fishermen and women who enjoy sharing their passion for the ocean as much as possible. This offshore fishing charter service is based in the Freeport/Surfside, TX area.
When you step off the boat at the end of the day, the captain and the crew want you to leave feeling like you are now a part of their fishing family! They work hard to ensure that years from now you will have fond memories and fish tales to share! From the inexperienced to the seasoned, they offer a fun and relaxed trip, while staying attentive to safety for all.
You will be fishing aboard a 36’ Contender center console, called Eastbound & Down. This boat is built to fish, move quickly, and keep you dry! The boat was bought and restored in 2018. For your comfort, there are bean bags to sit on, a T-top to keep you in the shade, and a toilet. For your safety, the vessel is equipped with USCG approved life jackets, a life raft, EPIRB, VHF radio, and a satellite phone.
The Gulf of Mexico offers a plethora of fish species to target. Depending on the season, sea conditions, and currents, you can expect to target Red Snapper, Kingfish, Ling (Cobia), Mahi Mahi, and Sharks on an offshore trip. Their deepwater trips will take you on the hunt for Wahoo, Amberjack, Grouper, Tilefish, and Tuna. If you really want to get into the sport of sportfishing, book an overnight trip and try for a variety of incredible species!
The fuel cost is included on all trips, except for the overnight trip. Your captain will provide you with tackle, bait, water, and ice. Just show up with food and drinks, sunscreen, towels, shoes with non-marking soles, sunglasses and a hat. All ages are welcome on the boat but anyone 17 or older will need to purchase a fishing license from Texas Parks & Wildlife. Single day licenses are available.
STSL Adventures have the ultimate goal – to put a smile on your face and fish in the box!
