It was amazing!!!! Pat and Wes are outstanding. They were so welcoming as soon as we stepped on the boat. They made our first time incredible out there. We wasn’t out there 20 minutes before we caught the first fish and then it was on from there. We ended up catching 46 fish in total. They know exactly what they are doing and where to find them. The also helped us in making arrangements to have all the fish cleaned before we left which made it easier for us on a total of 94 fillets. They even gave us different ideas on cooking the fish to try and we can’t wait. Again thank you Alanna Kay Fishing for the best fishing trip experience, you really made it worth it. We plan to come back again!

I got a fishing/boat trip for my dad for Father’s Day this year and had the chance to go out with him and my boyfriend on Alanna Kay.  Pat was a wonderful Captain, helped with the fishing poles, and talked to us a good deal about Virginia Beach and played awesome music while we were on the water.  My dad had a stroke a few years back, which causes him to be unsteady.  Pat got him a place to sit at the back of the boat so he didn’t have to get up-and-down too much throughout the 2 hour boat ride.  This trip made my dad’s year, as he loved it so much.  Highly recommended fishing trip and you will not be disappointed if you book with Pat on the Alanna Kay!

Captain Pat and First Mate Wes were great!  We got lucky with beautiful weather and the fish were biting more than the season would suggest: brought in enough blue fish and Spanish Mackerel for a great dinner.  Capt. Pat and Wes worked tirelessly to find the fish and knew exactly how to put them in the boat.  It was a laid back day full of fishing fun and a no-pressure atmosphere.  My 4 year old daughter had fun just being on a boat and decided we had to “save the fish from the sharks” so that’s what we did.  The boat was clean… like spotless; and when a trend developed for what the fish were hitting Capt. Pat and Wes switched rigs to maximize on it.  I will seek out Capt. Pat again for future endeavors.

Fishing is always hit or miss, never know if your going to get any or not. The boat was great had a small cabin for the kids to get out of the sun with some ac. Captain pat took my family out and we loved it. The water was nice, caught some mackerel n blue fish. Captain tried to help us catch a big red drum fish but as husband tried to pull it in he got off. Captain tried to find him but no luck. Seen many things in the water while out on our trip. Dolphin’s, sharks, sting rays, floating crabs.
