Our family of 5 had a great time on this half day fishing trip with Captain Mike and Chris. The second we left the dock our adventure started. Captain Mike shared details about the surrounding luxury homes until we got out to fishing territory.  Shortly after the baits hit the water, fish were on the lines. We were excited and pleased to have caught 6 fish in total, including Black and Skipjack Tuna, King Mackerel, and Mahi Mahi. Not only did everyone in our group reel a fish in, but we all learned about the different fishing techniques being used and how to ensure we were doing it right! Once back at the dock, Chris filleted our fish and even gave us tips on which fillets would be best in the fish centric meals we had planned.

Capt Mike is amazing and knows his way around the waters and very informative. First Mate Rico baiting is up so quick to keep the Mahi Mahi coming in and we left with Black Fin and King Mackeral as well.  They are very personable and fun! This was so much fun and we are ready to book again! I really felt safe on his boat and two of my buddies keep thanking me for the invite and experience! Can’t believe we are about to eat our catch for dinner that they made into the most perfect filet when we docked. I can keep writing for days and win a Pulitzer, but please do not make the mistake of NOT booking Capt Mike! Checking the calendar to come back as I type!

I messaged Mike with a a full day trip plan, some fridge fish to start out and then off to deeper water for a shot at a bill fish.  I am an experienced recreational angler so I know there is no guarantee in charter fishing, but a good Captain can up the odds in your favor.  And a great captain makes the difference.  Mike is a great captain with an awesome, hardworking first mate.  Hour one we hooked up a big Wahoo and the game was on.  We love Wahoo so the cooler objective was met.  So off to deeper water.  A little quiet for a while.  Grabbed a barracuda and put him back.  But shortly after that the long ling popped and we were on a Sailfish.  My first one.  It jumped a few times but eventually we got it to the boat for some pics and a live release.  So we are thrilled.  I jokingly say to Mike, “Be nice to get some Mahi now..” so off he hunts.  He finds a floater with activity under it and boom, two Mahi.  The odds of grabbing a Mahi, a Wahoo and a Sailfish in the same trip are astronomical, but Mike and his mate made the right calls and delivered an amazing day.  This is your boat if you want to catch fish off Fort Lauderdale!!!

This was an awesome trip. Captain Mike was the best. He contacted us days before the trip to inform us what to expect as far as weather, fishing, location, ect. We enjoyed the knowledge of the captain as well as the first mate. We learned a ton about fishing in just 4 hours. Captain Mike is a great captain as well as a humorous historian on the growth of Fort Lauderdale. We definitely give this charter our stamp of approval!! We can’t wait to book this one again,

We had a fantastic day out with Captain Mike and First Mate Rico on the ‘Reel Legend’. We Couldn’t have asked for better weather or seas. The Fish started hitting before we even got two lines in. By the end of the trip we brought in over a dozen fish, as well as a Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and a barracuda to go and cook up. We highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have a successful fishing trip with a great crew!
