Are you a passionate angler looking to spend the day chasing after that particular fish you’ve been dreaming about? Or perhaps you’d like to enjoy a relaxing day on the water and bring the whole family along for a trip that allows for a bit of everything. Either way, you’ll be able to split your time between fishing, dolphin and bird watching, or simply enjoying the beauty of the surrounding nature. West Bay Fishing Charters and Captain Scott will work hard to be as accommodating as possible!

You’ll be spending the day on a 20’ Lowe bay boat, powered by a 150 HP Johnson outboard. The vessel’s max capacity is 6 passengers although, in order to keep everyone comfortable and able to fish at the same time, the captain recommends a maximum of 4 anglers on board any trip. The boat’s shallow draft will allow you to get to all the, otherwise hard to reach places, as you explore the backcountry in search of the best fishing grounds for the day.

The captain will have all the necessary fishing equipment ready and waiting for you, such as Penn rods and reels and any live and/or artificial bait you’ll need for the fish you’re targeting that day. The main fish anglers target in the area are Redfish and Speckled trout and each angler can keep 1 Redfish and 5 Speckled trout of appropriate sizes. If you’d like, the captain will also clean and bag your catch at the end of the trip.

Your daily fishing license is included in the price of the trip and you’ll have access to free parking at the meetup location. You should bring your choice of drinks and snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen and the rest will be taken care of.
