Double Down Fishing Charters
With a name that means “great water” in Ojibwe, it’s no surprise that Lake Michigan holds the key to plenty of incredible fishing opportunities. Who better to show you around than a captain who has spent most of his life exploring them? Captain Tim Anderson has been fishing Lake Michigan for over 20 years. On board Double Down Fishing Charters, his ultimate goal is to help you discover your love for these waters, and return from your trip a better angler!
Capt. Tim specializes in offering trips to guests of all ages and skill levels. His previous guests have ranged from 6 years old to a 99 year old World War 2 veteran. Everyone is welcome on board the “Double Down”!
The Double Down herself is an impressive 31’ SeaRay vessel, perfect for cruising the vast waters of the lake. She can accommodate up to 6 guests, so why not invite your best angling buddies or the whole family? Children of all ages are welcome, and your captain will provide life jackets for everyone.
The Double Down is decked out with top-quality safety and navigational gear, as well as a toilet, so you can head out on longer trips without compromising on comfort. There’s plenty of room on board for you to troll up to 15 lines in the water which means you’ll cover plenty of ground!
So what will you be trolling for? Get ready to encounter Great Lake favorites, including huge Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and a variety of Trout species such as Lake, Brown, and Rainbow. You’ll be able to keep your catch unless the fish are very small, and Capt. Tim will happily clean and fillet them after your trip for you.
You’ll be provided with top-quality rods and reels, tackle, and lures. You’ll need to bring along a valid fishing license, your favorite snacks and drinks, and warm clothing – it can get chilly on these waters.
Then it’s just a case of making your way down to Muskegon, where your adventure will begin. Come aboard Double Down Fishing and discover your love for the great waters of this Great Lake!
