COVID-19 update: The Pez Koi crew has instituted safety measures on board all their trips so you can enjoy your day of fishing to the fullest.
Pez Koi is inviting all anglers planning on visiting the beautiful Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica to join them for a fishing experience they’ll remember for a long time. Captain José Miranda strives to provide top-notch service to all his clients and allow them to experience local fishing and local nature to the fullest. You’ll be able to fish for local favorites, watch dolphins, and snorkel in the crystal clear water, all at an affordable price!
The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 23’ Eduardoño saltwater fishing boat, powered by a 100 HP Yamaha outboard. Restored as recently as 2019, the boat features top-notch electronics for navigation, communication, and fish-finding, as well as all the necessary safety equipment. On board, you’ll also be provided with a cooler and ice for your drinks and snacks, giving you all you’d need for a fun and productive day on the water.
The trips may take you up to 20 miles offshore, depending on the season, weather, and targeted species. You’ll be equipped with world-class Penn and Shimano equipment so that you have the best shot at landing your target when the opportunity presents itself. There is no minimum age for kids coming aboard. Kids all ages are welcome and 4 life jackets for kids are provided.
The species you’re targeting may require you to fish with live bait. If that’s the case, the captain will stock up on live bait ahead of the trip and have it ready for you. Live bait is provided at no extra charge. Spearfishing and snorkeling equipment is also available at no additional cost although this has to be arranged in advance with the captain.
The only things you should pack are food, drinks, sunscreen, and sunglasses, and you’ll be ready for your fishing adventure with Pez Koi! Welcome aboard!
