Punta Cana Fishing – Mar-Quesa
Experience some of the best fishing in the Caribbean with “Punta Cana Fishing”! This Dominican hot spot is known for its long coastline and deep, productive waters close to shore. Everything is in place for you to hook big fish with Captain Kevin Acosta and his crew. They’re local pros with a lifetime of experience in these waters.
Your vessel for the day is a 41’ Viking performance fishing boat. She’s the ideal choice for up to 8 guests, with 5 to 6 anglers able to fish at the same time. This beauty is equipped with a bathroom, kitchen, AC, and multi-media system to ensure you’re comfortable and entertained.
The large fishing platform houses the fighting chair, also known as the best seat in the house! Outriggers and downriggers help you cover a large surface area while trolling for maximum efficiency. Plus there’s ample space on the decks for everyone to hang out and fish without bumping elbows.
At least one legendary pelagic a month calls these waters home. At any given time you’re positioned to hook Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, or Wahoo. Plus, there’s a healthy supply of Amberjack, Barracuda, and Bonito year-round to keep things interesting. Best of all, you won’t have to head far before things start to get exciting.
The crew provides your Penn and Shimano gear and cleans and fillets the catch at the end of the day. You’ll take home about 30% and they’ll keep the rest. Head to the Langosta Roja restaurant at the Marina if you’d like to have your fish prepared for $10 per person.
Onboard, you’ll find drinks including bottled water sodas, and beer. There are also chips and salsa on all trips and on 6+ hour trips, the crew prepares sandwiches and fresh fruit for you enjoy. They work hard to make you’re reeling in fish and having a good time, so tips are appreciated.
