Welcome to Ragin’ Cajun Charters! Not for the faint of heart, Southwest Florida is home to one of the most diverse and exciting fisheries in the state. Between Naples, Marco Island, and Goodland lies an enormous amount of backwater that produces a bounty of fish and memories. Ragin’ Cajun Charters fishes these backwaters using live pilchards, shrimp, and mullet which keep the action going!
If you’re into sight fishing, they can put you on the platform and cruise the shallows looking for that Snook or Tarpon that looks like a log just hanging perfectly still on the flats. Or you can fish the nearshore wrecks that will always keep you guessing what’s on the line. From Grouper and Cobia to King Mackerel and Barracuda, wreck fishing possibilities are endless.
Besides that, dropping live shrimp down could end up netting up tasty Mangrove Snapper, huge Snook, or even Permit during the right times of the year. Capt. Mike also offers night fishing trips which are often extremely productive as many species, including Tarpon, love to feed at night.
Fishing is serious business for Capt. Mike and he hasn’t spared a dime providing the best equipment to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. He runs a 23’ Bluewave shallow-draft bay boat that will handle rough water and still get skinny so the fish don’t have a place to hide. The boat has a hardtop to provide you protection from the sun during those brutal summer days.
Capt. Mike uses exclusively Penn and Shimano spinning rods and reels which have proven themselves time and time again. While you can bring your own gear, the captain will prepare proven equipment that he knows won’t fail. He’s also prepared for customers that want to throw the fly with Nautilus gear.
At the end of your trip, Capt. Mike will even clean and fillet your catch, so you can head home and enjoy the fruits of your labor right away! What more could you want?
