I heard Costa Rica 🇨🇷 was the best country to charter a fishing trip and it didn’t fail. First Nick is very accommodating and his team Captain Luis and First Mate Mellizo were great, it was a beautiful day to be out on the water and in route saw sea turtles, then a huge pod of spinner dolphins with so many jumping out of the water, then we saw yellowfin tuna jumping out of the water and new we were in the right spot, but what happened next was more surprising and caught a 54 inch Mahi Mahi, beautiful and the staff filleted and gave us ceviche on the spot, near the end of the trip we did hook a sailfish and saw it jump out but it got away, all together it was an amazing experience and having your catch cooked when you dock was the best, recommend this charter to anyone looking for an awesome experience at a reasonable price. We went on a half day fishing trip and were pleasantly surprised with our catch.  Highlights were a grouper and a mahi mahi that made it in the boat and a sail fish that jumped out of the water at our bait but did not bite.  We also had several dolphin sightings with a few that swam along the front of the boat.  Captain Luis and 1st mate Mauro were both top notch and very helpful.  The fresh, on the fly, ceviche dished up by the crew was a nice touch too!

I will start by saying that it is fishing and today was no different,  Captain and mate were second to none on this charter.  Started out catching several “Black Tuna”  which was not the species of choice, but fun none the less.  We moved again and found another pod of Dolphins and this time the Yellow tuna cooperated and and put 4 in the boat and missed another larger one.

After we got our tuna, we set out for Sails, well we found a few, but they were just not hungry, it was cool seeing them sunning their sails.  That is fishing, but the trip was what I expected, sure everyone wants to catch everything, but sometimes the fish gods have other plans.

The trip itself was amazing, my first time to Costa Rica it is giving me memories to return home with.  I got to see pods of spinner dolphins which you could watch all day, got to see my first whale also.

Now the service, Nick was tremendous staying in touch and ensuring everything was set up.  He set up transportation to the boat for me and his mother made some tremendous sandwiches and the pineapple was delicious and plenty of drinks and snacks.  Cant say enough about Captain Luis and Mola (spelling), they were super attentive, very communicative and fun to be on a boat with all day.  I super highly recommend this boat for those looking for a charter in Costa Rica.

We did the Tuna and Marlin Chase and everyone caught a fish! I caught a massive yellow fin tuna, two friends caught sailfish at the same time and the other friend caught a baby black fin tuna!
The Capt and first mate were an absolute pleasure to be around and even made us ceviche from the tuna. I did NOT expect them to have such a stellar Playlist, we were singing along the whole time!

Morning started slow with a missed sailfish hookup.  Late morning my wife had a sail on for a couple jumps and then it threw the hook. We were kinda down and then we got a good size mahi.  After lunch, my wife got a huge mahi.  Late afternoon we had a nice sail on for awhile before it broke the leader.  Just before we are leaving I hook into a really nice sailfish which we boat after a good battle and a dozen jumps.  Such beautiful fish.  Slow morning turned into a busy afternoon.  Great time. Capt. Luis and mate Eric are real pros.
