Welcome to some of the finest fishing in Chesapeake Bay! With Wann Sportfishing, you get to explore beautiful, pristine parts of the bay for the classiest sportfishing available in these waters. Captain Peter is on a mission to provide customers an interactive fishing trip where each person spends more time with a rod in their hand whether it’s bait fishing, casting lures, or trolling.

Trips will be tailored to meet your desires, as well as current conditions to provide the best day possible on the water. Safety is always the number one priority on the boat. All safety equipment meets all the USCG six-pack charter boat requirements.

You’ll be fishing on a 27’ Judge that’s newly built in 2020. This brand new fishing machine is powered by a 350 HP Suzuki engine, modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a cooler. The boat and tackle are kept in top-notch condition at all times.

With so many fish species to target, it’s hard to decide which one you to go after first. Start with Flounder, Redfish, and Speckled Trout, or set your hook for Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, and Black Drum. The best part is that you get to keep your catch and the captain will clean it free of charge.

All your fishing licenses and equipment are included in the price. You only need to pack your sun protection, snacks, and drinks for the day.

    Target the fish that are biting the best. If multiple options are possible, those will be presented for you to pick and choose. The most common catches are Rockfish, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Croaker, and White Perch. The Red Drum/Black Drum fishing and the Cobia fishing can both get good as well. Speckled trout are always around from May through September. Flounder fishing has been slow for several years but you never know when they will make a comeback.

Started charter fishing in Hatteras at age 19. Traveled places outside the country as a Sportfishing mate. I like all styles of fishing. I prefer the most effective type that catches the most and/or the largest fish. I will cater to the needs of the customer as well. If you want to bring your own gear or are a strict artificial lure fisherman I will happily accommodate.
