Let me first start off by saying I deep sea fish all over the world and have rather high expectations around the experience on charters . With that said, fishing with Captain and his crew was by far the BEST fishing experience/service I’ve ever had! When I booked I was aware that January wasn’t the best time to catch Marlin (my bucket list fish) and the Captain was honest about that and said he would do his best. He was very responsive to all my questions leading up to our trip. I was pleased that we ended up catching our own live bait by bottom fishing from the reef, which we then used for our marlin set up. We ended up landing two huge Striped Marlin and a Mahi, and also several more marlin bites trolling back into the docks . None of this would have been possible without the extensive knowledge and expertise the Captain and his crew displayed. I’ve already referred two friends and plan to rebook whenever i’m back in Cabo. HIGHLY RECOMMEND EL BUDSTER PRIDE!

Pros: The captain and mate worked hard to catch fish even in pretty rough water.  Cons: I’ve been on a lot of fishing charters and I’ve never been asked to pay for a fishing license ($16/each) or the live bait ($20) that they “got up at 6 to catch.”  It felt a little nickel and dimed.  Also, you may want to know if you’re traveling with kids, as we were, you’ll be asked to buy weed 20 times on the dock that leads to the marina.  Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend.  However, expect a bit of a tourist trap feel.

We went on 11/5 for the half day afternoon trip. It was me, my husband, and our two sons ages 12 and 11. We caught 6 dorado and 4 skipjacks, could have caught plenty more but our arms were tired! We saw large schools of fish, dolphins, and seals. 10/10 would recommend!
We only kept to of the dorado to cook, my only regret is not cleaning and keeping all of them because at the end of the malecón there were so many people who begged for fish, we gave all but 1 filet away and wished we had more to give. We brought our dorado back to our hotel who prepared us a delicious meal!
We can’t wait to return and fish here again

1/21/21 Slow start but we ended up with dinner and a trophy!  Who could ask for more? Captain Miguel and first mate Mael we’re great and knew the bait, bite locations and patience to create a great experience! 2 yellowfin tunas and a striped marlin!!

Our experience was great with El Bustar Pride.  Boat was clean and well taken care of.  Captian and deck hand were great and worked very hard to put us on the fish.  They were well prepared for all types of fishing.  Will definitely use then next time..
