Barefoot Guide Service is a synonym for an exciting day for the whole family. Spend some quality bonding time with your loved ones and share the beauty of the outdoors together.

Owned and operated by experienced Captain Jake, Barefoot Guide Service specializes in White Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, and Crappie fishing. The trips are available both in the morning during the weekend and in the afternoon during weekdays. Live bait is the key through the majority of the year but it comes down to whatever the fish do.

The boat you’ll be fishing from is an 22’ Blue Wave center console, powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. The boat is equipped with all the electronics and safety equipment you’d need for a safe and productive trip on the lake. There’s enough room for 6 anglers to come aboard.

Anglers of all skill levels are invited to join in on the trips as they typically provide a lot of action and are fun for anyone taking part in them. You will primarily be jigging and fishing live bait around the lake, using various techniques.

Once you leave the dock, all you will have to do is relax and catch fish. All you should bring is food, drinks, a fishing license for anybody in the crew 17 and older, and a cooler to take your fillets home. Everything else will be provided. Your fish will also be cleaned and bagged by Capt. Jake.

    You'll leave the dock around 4 pm and fish until dark. The evening bite is great right before dusk as the fish start to feed. Target Crappie, Hybrid Striper, and White Bass. Your fishing equipment is fully covered by the captain.

    Lake Texoma is known as the Striper capital of the world! We are now licensed to guide Striper trips on the big pond! We will use the same tactics that we normally run on Lewisville and Ray Roberts in hopes of landing the big one! It is well worth the trip to experience a great fighting fish as well as a beautiful big lake. This is a trophy trip that you do not want to miss out on!

    You'll leave the dock just before sunrise and be one of the first boats on the fishing grounds, ready to go once the morning bite starts. The morning usually starts with Hybrid Striper and once that bite dies off, switch to White Bass or go and park on the brush piles and find Crappie.

    You will leave the dock around 4 PM and head in around dark to clean fish. This trip gives the chance to catch fish during their evening bite as well as enjoy the sunset that Lake Lewisville has to offer.

I have been on the water from the time I was several months old. I grew up fishing all of the Lakes around DFW and southern Oklahoma with my dad. I currently live right next to Lake Lewisville and fish every moment I can get and love to share my knowledge of the lake and targeted species with clients. My 2nd trip as a guide was with a family of 4, their teenage son walked into my boat and saw that I was barefooted while going over a few rules and safety items on the boat, he looked at his family very excited and informed them that their captain was barefoot and insisted that meant they were going to catch a lot of fish on that particular day. From that moment Barefoot Guide Service was born.
