Out the door by 630 for 7a departure on offshore fishing charter First Choice by Captain Larry out of Islamorada.  On way out to deep sea 20-25 miles out we stopped near Alligator Reef so the first mate (Rick) could cast out for bait.
We trolled on our way out to sea and caught a barracuda.
Captain Larry spotted some birds congregating about 10 miles further and we found our first bit of Mahi Madness - our boat was hooking them as fast as we could put baited hooks in the water and also grabbed a few jacks and other smaller fish we threw back.
Once it slowed down - Captain Larry found another hot spot near a floating plank he rightfully assumed meant bait fish and bigger fish were in the area.  Another round of mahi madness ensued.
First time my son and nephew got to try offshore fishing and they had a day they’ll never forget. 

Had a great time with Captain Larry. Weather was great so we went outside trolling. We caught about 10 tuna and bonita. There was plenty of action. The problem was everytime we got a hit and started reeling them in, a shark would grab the fish and all we were pulling up was fish heads, Maybe in hind site we should have gone bottom fishing for grouper , snapper, yellow tail after we figured out the sharks weren’t going away. Captain was great, a real gentleman, and we enjoyed his easy going style. Will definitely rebook with the captain.

My family & I had the best day on the water! Captain Larry & his mate did everything they could to put us on fish and they did just that. My kids had never been off shore fishing before & loved every minute of it! They were very patient & took the time to explain everything to make our fishing trip a success! I highly recommend fishing with first choice! When we come back to the keys, they will be our “first choice” once again!

My family and I had an amazing time on the water fishing with Caprain Larry and his mate John.  They well exceeded our expectations! We all caught an abundance of Mahi and Tuna!  Captain Larry made certain we were fishing the right locations and John made certain we caught and got them in the boat.  We certainly made the right choice with First Choice Charters!!  We highly recommend them!!!💯🙌🎣

Had a great morning fishing with Captain Larry and his first Mate Peter - who were both friendly and knowledgeable. The weather beautifully cleared up as we were heading out to sea. My son’s each got to catch several fish of different varieties and using different methods. It was overall a great experience for our first time deep sea fishing. Thank you!
