Tail Magnet Sport Fishing
Tail Magnet Sport Fishing is back in San Diego, California, for another Tuna and pelagic fishing season! Whether you are a seasoned fisherman or just getting started, Captain Jason Thornton and the crew have you covered.
Captain Jason and his crew will help you have an exceptional time aboard the Tail Magnet. So, if you are looking for a dream fish or just a relaxing time fishing, the staff will take good care of you!
Your journey will start on a 45’ Jersey offshore sport fishing boat, a spacious and well-equipped vessel that will give you a comfortable ride to the fish and back. It can seat up to 6 anglers, runs on twin 360 HP Caterpillar engines, and uses all the modern Simrad navigation technology for safe and quick movement on the sea.
Aboard the Tail Magnet, you can access all the facilities, which include a flybridge, kitchen, toilet, shower, and bed. The boat is air-conditioned and features a multimedia system, TV, refrigerator, and an ice box. The onboard fishing gear includes outriggers, downriggers, tuna tubes, and a livewell. A first mate will also join your trip to give you any help you might need.
The species you can target include Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Swordfish, Great Barracuda, Yellowtail Amberjack, Halibut, Calico Bass, and more. You also have a wide choice of fishing techniques you can use to attract your prey. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom and deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, drift fish, as well as fly and kite fish.
Capt. Jason provides you with everything you’ll need on your trip, including the fishing gear, snacks, and drinks. Lunch is available on overnight trips. The captain can also clean and fillet your catch, and he can recommend you a five-star service for further processing. Before you depart, just make sure you have your fishing licenses.
