The 2022 Federal Red Snapper season has been announced and it runs June 1 - August 19 this year. We will book fast, so pick your date while you can! Red Snapper trips are designed to give you plenty of time to limit out on Snapper before going after other awesome species of fish, so hop aboard Captain Todd Thomasson’s freshly renovated boat and make lovely memories on the water!
You’ll be aboard a much larger fish catching machine this year! Welcome aboard our 43’ Hatteras sport fishing vessel. The boat’s fully rigged with modern navigation electronics that will keep you safe and on the right track all the time. The Miss Lib features all the comforts of home. She is fully air-conditioned, including the bridge. She has 2 staterooms, a full bathroom and shower, a full-size refrigerator, and a full kitchen. A spacious salon to relax in or watch TV, bring the kids’ favorite DVD if they get bored heading out or back in! There will also be a first mate to assist you during the trip.
Traveling usually 12 to 35 miles off the shore, you’ll have the chance to target Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Cobia, and even Blacktip Shark. You’ll catch them by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, and drift fishing, using both heavy and light tackle. Kids are welcome to come aboard but the captain highly suggests they be at least 6 years old. As for the fish you catch, you’re free to keep everything with you.
Captain Todd provides you with all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait. You should just bring fishing licenses and the snacks and drinks of your choice.
Come visit Port Aransas Offshore Adventures and have a wonderful time on the water! Note: we have been forced to add a fuel surcharge to each trip, it is paid at the time of the trip. Diesel has gone insane for now! Each trip lists the surcharge amount.
