This was our FIRST CHARTER and we fell in LOVE with our trip! We HIGHLY recommend booking with Musicman Charters! Very kid friendly and the mackerel were biting! Capt David was exceptional with guiding us on the right path where the fish were biting and even pointing out sharks to the kiddos! Hunter was amazing with the kids helping them reel in the mackerel! We are DEFINITELY going to be booking with Capt David and musicman charters again in the future!

Looking back on my trip I feel better that I went with these guys than one of the large group charters.  Aside from being very polite hosts these guys went out or their way to make sure that I and my sons got to experience some real deep sea fishing.  Capt Dave and his son Hunter got the boat positioned where the fish were and offered advice and instruction on how to reel in these 25Lb Amber Jacks.  Because we weren’t part of a larger charter these guys made sure that we were constantly over the particular schools of fish “we” wanted to fish for.  Hardware wise there was plenty of fishing equipment available, the boat was very clean and well kept.  There was plenty of bait available to fish for whatever we wanted and they even asked what kind of music we would like to listen to while we fished.  Overall a great trip along with some good Southern hospitality.  Would easily do it again.

My son and I had a great time with Captain Dave and his son fishing off Carolina and Wrightsville beaches. We learned a lot about trolling for Spanish Mackerel.  It is great being out on the ocean! The boat was clean and in great shape.  When we arrived back at the dock, our catch was cleaned and ready to be cooked.  Can’t wait to have it tonight!  Thanks Captain Dave!

It was my first time but my friend that went with me had been going with another company but since they backed out we found this one. Waves we really choppy but the boat and captain handled it well.

My only complaint is that I wish we had more bait options. Went out for spanish mackerel but it wasn’t hitting well. We sat for 2 and a half hours with no nibbles but same lures. As a first time fisher I will give you some advice.
Before you go ask what bait you will be using and what you are going for.
On the bright side, the first mate is very helpful. Its a pleasant boat ride, and you might even catch something.

We had a great time. Fishing wasn’t the greatest but it’s called fishing and not catching for a reason. Capt. Dave was awesome, he was able to tell us about the inlet and how the sandbar moves over time and where to fish. My girls, their boyfriends and I had a great time and I would recommend using them.
