The boat is old, no ac, old gear, no ice box for catch. I had called to find out what kind of fishing we would be doing and I was assured that we could do what ever I wanted with in reason. I was also told that have very good gear and are very experienced. Great! Transportation was booked thru them as well and was very prompt and comfortable. We get to the marina, instantly greeted, and meet the Captin of our trip to discuss fishing plans for the day. I expressed that we want to bottom fish for snapper and grouper, and whatever else is down there, he said no problem but we would have to troll for bait first, no problem. As we get to the boat I notice the fleet of old boats, as we board we r offered drinks I notice the old rods and reels. The cooler had about 6 cans of soda, 6 bottles of very warm beer and maybe 6 bottles of water. The crew was two young guys very nice, and the Captin. We get under way, the two mates start setting up everything, they got about a dozen frozen ballyhoo, they rig up 6 to troll and put 2 out with 4 squid rigs on other rods. Captin got one rod, two rods on outriggers and two rods on downriggers. We would hook up with false albacore, the mate would have u sit in the chair and you would reel in the fish. After a bunch of them were caught they put away the trolling rigs and brought out bigger gear for shark fishing. I’ve been fishing for a long time, offshore, inshore, whatever. I asked if I could stand up and reel, I was told no it’s dangerous, I asked if they have a belt/harness, they said the chair is better. During them deep dropping the cut bait, only they were allowed to hook up because they need to make sure the bait didn’t get stolen from the fish, while using circle hooks, SMH. I’d say this is a good charter for someone who has little to no experience. The Captin spent more time fishing then I did.  But for someone who knows their way around the boat, I’d skip these guys.

Boat: 1996 immaculate perfect layout for a 33. We did not run a/c so I cannot comment.  Head immaculate for 96 charter.  Capt Luis is a pro with Julio as finest first mate I’ve seen.  I recommend this for everyone, but this operation will impress those who own their own boats in other ports. Equip is beautifully maintained and no reused leader on board. 100lb test when need. Capt constantly calling in reset if bait gets a little worn or wonky.  Enjoyed Julio and felt like went to knot school. I would like to add that these are good, honest, smart, thoughtful men who genuinely want you to have whatever experience you are looking for.  It will be the best day of your vacation.  Daphne at the marina in booking is great. The management is not.  Kind of jerks no smiling. Chac chi management and higher uniformed people were not good. - the marina has no breakfast options and lunches are meager and no place to buy anything else and they seem surprised as every fisherman who walked in said where can I get muffin or anything.  Bring your own or buy 2 lunches for each person ans share granola bars with crew. .
Buy the photos the nice photographer took, grab a beer, a take your mahi mahi filets back to your hotel (Chac chi private drivers were good) and let Capt Luis and FM Julio be the best representatives of this entire outfit.

We paid to go on the Sea Senora boat. We had been on that boat 3 times before. We were told on the morning of the trip that the Sea Senora was not available but they brought a different boat with a different crew. We paid for the 6 hour trip and we left the dock at 8:00 AM. We started fishing at 9:00 and caught about 10 bonita, bait fish, until 12;00 PM. then we went bottom fishing for “eating fish” like Snapper, tuna and grouper. at 12:50, the mate told us that the trip was over. So, for my 740 dollars, we got to fish for “real fish” for 50 minutes. Total rip off. the captain should not have spent to long having us catch bonita (which are unedible” and more time catching good fish. they were told we wanted to bottom fish for Snapper, grouper and tuna yet we spent most of the trip trolling for Bonita which the boat can use as bait at a later time. The boat was fine and the captain and crew were nice but they were concerned about getting back on time more than making sure we had a good time.
