Exuberant Fishing Day! Started the day by catching shrimp for bait. Daniel casted the net a few times and before you knew it the live well was full, we had more bait then we needed, he also had live shrimp for us in case we didn’t catch any. We set off to get the day started and rode out in 3-4 swells. It was a bit windy but man did the boat cut through the swells and was unbothered by the wind. We stayed dry the entire ride out (and back in). We headed off to the near shore reef where we immediately were catching fish sea bass, weak fish, even caught a toad fish which matched some of his rods! After an action packed hour or so we headed back into the jetties and a few other spots on the way into the harbor. Lastly we finished hitting an awesome reds spot. Reds after reds we had fun catching then until it was time to call it a day. We must of landed over 20+ reds. When we arrived back to the dock we had Dan teaches us how to filet the fish. He did one and then we did the rest! To my surprise Dan was a good teacher because I was able to filet my fish with ease and will be fileting my fish moving forward. All in all a great experience. I would recommend him to any families that have small children, new Charlestonians who may want to learn how to fish the area or learn the water ways, or any one who wants a stress free day catching fish.

Best charter I’ve ever been on. Daniel knew all the great spots to check out in the Charleston area and had more than enough equipment for us to use. Some of us weren’t experts but Daniel helped us out wherever he could. We caught some Sheepshead and Black Drum keepers, which Daniel even fileted for us after we docked. He even kept us out for longer than the allotted time, which I’ve never experienced before.

I don’t think I could think of 1 negative thing to say about Chompin Charters. The extra drinks Daniel had for us was also a plus. I highly recommend this charter service.

We had an awesome trip unfortunate cut short a little by the weather.  It was myself and two children. The captain was awesome with the kids and did a great job in designing the trip to keep them entertained and also go after the big fish they wanted.

What a fun day we had on our fishing charter with Chompin Charters, Daniel made sure that my family and I were well taken care of and he got us on the fish!  We booked a nearshore trip and we hit the jetties and other close-by wrecks.  We caught redfish, sheepshead, seabass, and even a shark. 

Daniel made sure our family was safe, understood how to use the fishing equipment, and best of all having a good time.  I will definitely be booking Chompin Charters again in the near future!
