Captain Brad was our guide and went above and beyond on the water to achieve a trip of a lifetime! We wanted to specifically target bull reds for this trip. With hot water and a strong tide; it was a slow start. Brad didn’t sit around and wait for the fish to come to us. He was running and gunning to as many spots as possible before landing us on these bull reds. Everyone tagged out, with fishing time still left on the clock. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for great fun filled trip with a very experienced Captain. Brad is very friendly and knowledgeable. We plan on booking with him again.

Booked an early July five hour morning shark trip.  We nearly caught a limit of sheepshead (4/5) near the jetty on our way out.  Also, caught a few lady fish (poor man’s tarpon)- actually a lot of fun as they launched out of the water that we used for shark bait.  Spent the remainder of the trip heading a few miles offshore, where we had a short lull awaiting a hit, then reeled in a feisty blacktip shark to keep.  It was a lot of meat that Brad cleaned for us and both the sheepshead and shark were excellent blackened.  Brad is knowledgeable, helpful, conversational, and works hard to deliver a special sportfishing experience.

Brad is a great host.  Took my wife and 2 boys (12&13) on a 6 hour tour.  We where catching sharks 20min into the trip. Pretty exciting stuff. After we each had a couple catches under our belt we decided to go fish for some good eating.  We got skunked on that adventure but all the other boats had the same luck.  Brad kept us all entertained and kept switching it up to improve our luck. If I make it back to Galveston, I will be scheduling with Seaplay Charters and Brad again.
Oh and his Seaplay hats and shirts are keepers also. Get you one.

Captain Brad worked hard to keep us on fish. We started with Jetty fishing and caught an assortment of fish. It was amazing. Worked great with the kids. He definitely knew the tide and how to work with the weather. We then went out to the bay and got on shark and a surprise stingray.  We went home with black drum, speckled trout, red fish and black tip shark and a sharp nosed shark. Released stingray and fish that was too big or small. We had a great time

I bought my parents & husband a fishing expedition for Christmas with SeaPlay & Holy hanna,  what a great time. Captain Richard was extremely polite, professional, & knowledgeable.  He even called to push our trip back a bit so we wouldn’t have to wait, since the Marina had power issues. When we arrived they had jerry-rigged the power & got us on our way. We went out to Bolivar & anchored & he got us on fish right away! He explained limits & regulations & my husband & I actually got to use a tag of 2 of our fish! I didn’t realize when they fished it was for us too! Adrian found a sweet honey hole right away! Plus, they baited, casted for us, & showed us how-to ourselves! It was an amazing day & they were amazing guides. We try to come to Galveston once a year & we will definitely use their services again!! AND, Captain Richard told us where we coyld bring our catch to cook & eat & it was AWESOME! Thanks again Captain Richard & Adrian! You totally made our day!!
