Captain Jonathon Calkins is a USCG-licensed captain based in St. Cloud waiting for you to join him and enjoy some unforgettable memories on the water. Book the trip of a lifetime today!

You and Captain Jonathon will have lots of fun chasing that 10 lbs Largemouth Bass on lakes Toho or Butler, or searching Scallop in the beautiful waters of Crystal River, Florida. You’ll be using light tackle and will be drift fishing in order to catch your targets. On Scallop trips, you’ll be keeping all your catch. When fishing for Bass, the fish will have to be returned to the water.

The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 22’ Pathfinder bay boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. The engine it uses is a 200 HP Yamaha with a maximum cruising speed of 45 knots. The boat is equipped with GPS and fishfinder electronics and also comes with a wireless trolling motor, a livewell, and snorkeling gear.

Captain Jonathon supplies all the fishing rods, reels, tackle, and lures needed for a great fishing trip. He’ll also provide drinks for you to stay fresh throughout the trip. Fishing licenses are included but for Scallop trips only.

    Bass fishing trips are offered on world-renown Lake Tohopekaliga. The maximum number of anglers for these trips is 4. Kids under 12 fish for free. The captain offers both artificial and live bait (shiner) trips, just keep in mind that shiners are an added expense. You'll need to bring your freshwater fishing licenses.

Growing up, Captain Jonathon had years of experience on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes despite being the younger of the guides in the Orlando area. Being born and raised right here in Saint Cloud, Florida helped sparked his interest in fishing at an early age. From the age of 5, the captain has been riding around with his father and grandfathers learning about the local lakes in the Kissimmee area. When he's not fishing the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, he is most likely fishing the backwaters in Crystal River or in a tree stand somewhere in the woods. Captain Jonathon started fishing tournaments back in the local high school club ā€œOsceola Anglersā€, after which he went on to fish for the University of Central Florida. Now, years later, the captain wishes to share with others what his community has to offer on one of the best fisheries in the country and do his part in growing the sport.
