It was supposed to storm the day that we booked, so we reached out to Captain Tom to see if we could do a different day. He quickly responded with additional options for us and was quick to accommodate us on short notice! We had a beautiful day fishing and lobstering with Captain Tom. Right off the bat you could tell how knowledgeable he is about fishing and lobstering. He educates you and shows you exactly what you need to do. He is extremely kind and patient. We caught 7 amazing fish and a huge lobster to take home and cook. This was my husband and I’s favorite experience on our trip to Maine. We will be back to book with Captain Tom next time we are in the area!

Let me start with all the great things about this trip outside of catching some nice strippers. CPT Tom was the ultimate guide. We had lines in the water within two minutes of being on the boat. He shared facts about the Saco River and many of the sites along the way. We saw a pair of osprey, bald eagle and many other water fowl feeding and pointing to the fish. He took his time to explain anything that we had questions about and it was appreciated.

So we caught several nice strippers. A 36” which was my PB. CPT Tom kept us on the bite. And when it did seem to slow a little we went and checked the lobster pots. I have a deeper appreciation for time that goes into putting that lobster tail on my plate.

It was a nice family oriented fishing trip and I can’t wait to make it back to catch some big strippers with CPT Tom.

I took my 13 year-old son on a 2-hour charter with Eagle’s Rock. Donna was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Since we only had 2 hours and it was quite a sunny afternoon, we weren’t able to catch any fish on our charter which wasn’t totally surprising. We still had a great time though. We learned a lot from Donna and got to see the Biddeford Pool area from a different perspective. We stopped by Donna’s tackle shop the next day where she has an assortment of refurbished and new fishing equipment. She was super helpful and even re-lined our rods for us. I will be contacting Donna again next summer for another charter. Hopefully we’ll bring home some stripped bass or lobster for dinner!
