Blue Thunder Fishing & Boat Hire
Some say that Welsh fishing is the best in Britain, and Captain Mark Thomas will be inclined to agree. Not only is the coastline around Swansea stunning, with its sandy beaches and rocky outcrops, the sea offers a great fishing experience with a variety of species available not far from the shore.
When you fish with Blue Thunder Fishing & Boat Hire you can leave the sandy beaches behind you as you head out into the Bristol Channel and up to 20 miles offshore into the Celtic Sea in search of Cod, Whiting and other delicious species.
The Blue Thunder is a 33’ Cygnus Cyfish deck boat. She’s a premium sea fishing vessel that has been operating out of Swansea her entire life. She boasts a large, safe flat deck area that offers plenty of room for up to 12 anglers to fish at the same time. The large cockpit provides protection from the elements, while the developed shines and spray deflectors give the boat a very stable and dry ride.
Capt. Mark has been fishing since he was a boy and is one of the longest running charter operators in Swansea. He has 28 years of experience as a charter captain and has clocked up about 12,000 sea miles over the years, so he knows exactly what makes a successful trip with him.
Come aboard and there’s no end to what you can catch. During winter, you’ll have the chance to go after Cod and Whiting, while Spurdogs (large Dogfish Shark) are more common in spring. In the summer, a greater variety of fish are available, with Mackerel, Bream, and Flatfish all appearing to add a bit of spice to your fishing adventure.
Rods and reels are available to hire from Capt. Mark, while you can also bring your own on board. Make sure to stock up on drinks and snacks too, as you’ll want as much energy as possible when going up against these beauties of the sea.
Make Swansea your next fishing destination with Blue Thunder Fishing & Boat Hire, and you won’t regret it!
