Big Fish Tours – “La Chata”
Big Fish Tours are pioneers in sportfishing charters on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Their mission is to develop sportfishing in the area, educating people on the extremely rich fishing opportunities that exist here. They target the almost untouched, yet exceptional local Marlin fishery aboard a luxurious vessel using state of the art fishing gear. Come aboard and you’re sure to make this holiday one to remember!
The “La Chata” is a 36’ Hatteras flybridge vessel, that was built with comfort in mind. Up to 8 guests are welcome aboard to take advantage of the air-conditioned cabin, that features a full head for your personal needs. She’s fitted with up to date electronics, with a GPS, sonar, radar, and fishfinder to put you on to fish, using a trolling spread made up of Lee outriggers and Cannon downriggers, too.
Unlike many other boats in the area, La Chata has been built specifically for deep sea fishing. She provides a safer and more stable platform to fish on than the many local ‘pangas’ (skiffs) that claim to offer a cheaper sportfishing experience.
Whether you’re looking for a thrilling offshore adventure to battle it out with monster fish, or a nearshore experience to test the waters, La Chata has you covered. From May to October, head out to battle it out with Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi. While year-round, you can hit the bays for Jack Crevalle and Grouper.
Whenever you come aboard, you’re in for a productive day out fishing some of the most unspoiled, yet incredible waters in the world. Let Big Fish Tours take you out to discover them in style!
