Both he and his staff will do everything they can to put you on the big fish!
Get on board his 38’ custom saltwater fishing boat built specifically for deep water fishing in these waters. The boat can accommodate up to 8 guests, and up to 6 lines can be trolled at the same time, giving you the best possible chance of catching a fish. There’s a fighting chair, outriggers. and downriggers, as well as a 10’ canopy to escape the heat.
Due to Belize’s nearshore drop off, it only takes 20 minutes to get to the deep sea fishing grounds. This means even short trips can be productive, although the best chance of catching the fish of a lifetime is on a full day trip! On these trips, the target fish include Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, Marlin, Barracuda, and Grouper.
If you’re up for some more action, there’s snorkeling equipment on board, so you can experience the rich wildlife of these beautiful waters up-close. At the end of the day, the crew will clean and fillet your catch co you can have it cooked in one of the seafood restaurants in the area. Soft drinks, water, and ice are included in the price, as is lunch on full day trips.
No matter if you are fishing or snorkeling, Captain Gilbert’s boat has you covered with full insurance! There is a 12.5% government sales tax that goes with each tour. All you need to bring is some sun protection, and you’re all set.
