Come fish the Gulf Coast with Bay Fishing Port O’Connor. You’ll explore waterways protected from the Gulf of Mexico by a system of barrier islands, creating the perfect conditions for a flourishing ecosystem. Captain Will Granberry is an outdoors enthusiast who graduated in Fisheries Management, so you can rest assured that you’re in for a productive trip.
You’ll set off aboard a 25’ Majek center console boat, powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. The boat has enough room for 4 anglers to cast and maneuver at the same time. When in skinny waters, the wireless trolling motor will kick in, to allow you to creep up on the fearful fish beneath. Capt. Will even invites you to go wading, to get really close to them!
He’ll provide you with all the fishing equipment you’ll need, as well as live bait and a selection of artificial lures. Choose between fishing the flats and backcountry for Speckled Trout and Redfish, or the bays, passes, and gulf beach fronts for large game fish such as Sharks and Tarpon in the summer.
While Sharks and Tarpon are catch and release only, you’ll have the opportunity to reel in some tasty food for your dinner, with the ability to troll or drift fish for a range of other species, such as Snapper or Spanish Mackerel – and even go gigging for Flounder. There’s no way you’ll be disappointed!
You won’t find many other places where such a range of fish co-exist. Bring your own food and drinks, grab your fishing license, and you’re ready to go. For some of the best game fishing imaginable, and the chance to bag yourself some dinner: get booking right away.
Join Bay Fishing Port O’Connor’s and make the most of the abundant waters leading to the Gulf!
