We took my brother and his kids from Georgia out on Lake Michigan in hopes of putting them on to some salmon or lakers.  But (as inland lake fisherpersons) we knew it was likely to be a slow day since a front had gone through the day before, we had a robin-egg blue sky, and the winds had shifted significantly.  We met Capt Todd and Mike early and we were able to get a slightly earlier starlet to the day.  As expected the fishing was slow.  We hooked 3 pretty quickly and my brother and his son were able to take a turn but both fish threw the hook.  We landed the third (pic).  I’ll give Mike and Capt Todd a lot of credit for working the lines, changing depths, changing lures, and actively looking for fish. But they just didn’t want to bite. That’s why the call it fishing and not catching, right?!  LOL. Nevertheless, we’d definitely take a charter with Capt Todd and Mike again.  Despite the slow day we really enjoyed it and they did all they could do to help the situation.  PS - that fish tasted awesome for dinner that night!

Capt Todd was knowledgeable and well prepared for our morning out on the waters of beautiful Lake Michigan. You can’t beat watching the sun come up over the Sleeping Bear Dunes Shoreline while you are ready to reel in a great catch. First Mate Mike was helpful and gave great pointers. If you’re looking for a way to put a smile on your teenagers face, a trip out on Hooked Too should do the trick. The lake trout he caught were filleted for us by the Captain himself. Can’t beat that!! Super fun outing for our family of 3. Thanks Todd and Mike.

Our family of 6 brought home limit for trout and got a salmon right up to the boat before it spit the hook. Left the dock with happy kids (including teen daughter that was not excited about going) and a cooler full of fish. They’re great with kids and very understanding about the extra help kids need. Would definitely go again.

Crew was very knowledgeable and experienced, and the equipment was sufficient that we caught 3 large salmon and a small lake trout, even while the fishing environment was difficult, having unseasonably cold water in lake Michigan. What a fun trip! I highly recommend Hooked!

The lake didn’t cooperate and the water was “ a bit sporty” but the captain and crew handled it like the pros they are and we still managed to put fish on the boat. We had a great experience and will definitely re-book.
