Destin Florida Sport Fishing welcomes fishermen and women of all skill levels to come aboard his boat and experience the varied and exciting fishing Florida’s Gulf Coast has to offer. Travel with Captain Chris Beckett from the backwater creeks to where oceans meet enjoying the pristine surroundings, and reel in your fish of a lifetime.
The boat is a 26’ Mako center console that is equally at home in 10 inches of water as she is 40 miles offshore. The boat has been designed with one thing in mind – fishability – and it shows. With a stable ride, as well as ample fishing space and a foam-filled hull, this boat offers charter guests all the comfort and spaciousness that they could ask for.
Capt. Chris runs a variety of trips to suit your preferences, focusing on inshore trips for Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, and sometimes Tarpon or Tripletail. He fishes with both live bait and a range of artificial lures, using good quality light conventional and spin fishing gear.
Children are especially welcome on board. Capt. Chris especially enjoys introducing them to the thrills that fishing has to offer, while also instructing them in the proper angling techniques. He loves answering any questions you might have throughout your trip, and enjoys talking about the Florida Gulf Coast’s delicate ecosystem and marine life.
Please note: Captain Chris requires payment the day before the trip date so he can make sure the boat is full of live bait ready for your trip. There’s also a mandatory 20% gratuity that’s not included in the trip price.
