Southern Bend Inshore – Blazer Bay
Southern Bend Inshore Charters is a provider of inshore and nearshore fishing trips out of the world famous fishing destination of Orange Beach, AL. Fishing a wide range of habitats, from the murky flats and shallow backcountry out to the nearshore reefs and wrecks, you can expect to target anything from Redfish and Trout to Sheepshead, Flounder, and more.
You will be fishing aboard a spacious 24’ Blazer Bay center console boat that has all the features you need for a productive day on the water. This custom-built boat was specifically designed to be as versatile a fishing platform as possible, able to get deep into the skinny waters of the Alabama backcountry, while still being stable enough for some fun fishing out in the bay.
What you target on your day with Southern Bend Inshore Charters is entirely up to you. Captain Landon plans each trip ahead of time with the client, and lays out all the potential options based on what has been biting best lately. Once on the boat, you will be supplied with high-quality light and heavy tackle, with the option to jig, spin, pop, drift or bottom fish, depending on what you are after.
If you’re in the area in April and May, Southern Bend Inshore Charters can also put you in the best place to catch a Cobia on their annual migration. The boat’s custom Cobia tower will give your captain an enhanced vantage point, putting you an excellent position to catch this coveted species.
All the equipment you need for a fun day fishing is included in the price of the trip, and Captain Landon also offers a fish cleaning and filleting service. Tipping is appreciated, with 15 - 20 % customary.
