Big King Salmon Charters operates year-round fishing trips, targeting the best local food fish depending on the time of year. Fish for Chinook, Coho, and Pink Salmon, as well as Lingcod, Flounder, and much more. Depending on the season, you could be fishing the sheltered sounds or deeper waters around Edmonds, WA, moving with the fish to always get the best catch.
The vessel you will be fishing aboard is a 28’ Tollycraft fishing boat which has room for up to six anglers. Originally built way back in 1976, this classic piece of American design has been regularly maintained to keep her at the highest standard possible. She can cruise at almost 30 knots thanks to her 357HP Mercruiser engine and features a toilet for extra comfort on longer trips.
The vessel is equipped with a trolling motor and electric downriggers as well as Shimano Triton reels and custom trolling rods to give you the best possible experience trolling the deep waters for big Salmon. She also features tackle for a variety of other techniques, including bottom fishing, and jigging.
What you target on your trip depends entirely on when you fish. January through mid-February you will be bottom fishing for a variety of tasty table fish, after which the Salmon fishing kicks off, making for awesome catches of Winter Blackmouth. April through the end of June is back to bottom fishing, after which the Salmon fishing kicks off again, with Coho, Chinook, and Pink Salmon all swarming these clean northern waters.
Big King Salmon Charters is all about putting anglers on great fish and having fun doing so. At the end of your trip, all the catch will be cleaned and filleted ready to take home and enjoy. All tackle and lures are provided, so all you have to bring is your license, your lunch, and a cooler to fill with delicious fish at the end of the trip! Maximum of 3 downriggers/fishing poles being run at one time.
