Marshland Adventures invites you on an unforgettable adventure fishing the Louisiana Coast and Lake Pontchartrain. This charter is dedicated to showing their guests exactly why Louisiana is known as the “Sportsman’s Paradise”.

Your host will be Captain Steve Himel who has fished these waters professionally for over 25 years and is devoted to providing a memorable and enjoyable fishing experience to everyone on board.

Fishing is done aboard a 25-foot Custom center console originally built in 2014 with a capacity for 6 persons. Powered by a 250 HP Mercury Optimax engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots, this boat is fast and reliable. Featuring a GPS and a fishfinder used to locate the fish, this boat makes for a very productive fishing platform. It also features a livewell and an icebox for the catch.

Marshland Adventures offers the finest light tackle fishing on the Louisiana Coast, Lake Pontchartrain or the deep inland marshes and bayous. In these waters, you will be able to target trophy Speckled Trout during the Spring and Summer, hungry Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Croaker, Sheepshead, and more species ready to bite your bait.

Captain Steve’s charters include fuel, rods, reels, tackle, bait, and ice. Once the trip is over, you can have a fish cleaning service, so bring an ice chest to transport it home in. Captain Steve will work hard to ensure your trip is enjoyable for you and your party.

ECO TOURS
Marshland Adventures offers private Eco-Tours of Lake Pontchartrain and its surrounding bayous and marshes. You and your private party of up to six guests will travel over 20 miles of scenic shorelines and marshlands including the Big Branch National Wildlife Refuge. You are sure to see waterfowl, wading and shore birds in their natural habitat. The refuge also is home to alligators, nutrias, otters, mink,  muskrats, and even wild hogs. You will also visit devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and beautiful lakeside homes.
