Family of four with 4 & 6 year olds, we had a great experience overall.  Captain Steve was a great instructor for us all, was very patient with the kids.  6 yo caught a fish within the first 10 minutes, and Captain Steve let our younger son help reel in some catches as well.  Kids also really enjoyed zooming around in the boat from one fishing spot to the next.  Would definitely recommend!

One would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable guide on Canyon Lake.  Captain Steve created a great experience for my family teaching my two nephews how to cast a spin cast reel.  He was the type of guide I was looking for. I’ve spent a lifetime outdoors fishing and hunting in four countries.  You can’t go wrong with Captain Steve. Thanks Again Captain!

All our 10 year old wanted for summer vacation was to go fishing. He researched and found Captain Steve and wow the look on his face when he started reeling in the biggest fish he had ever caught!!  Not a big day for bites, but seeing him catch this 7lb catfish was worth every penny for Mama and Daddy!!  Memories were made that will last a lifetime!!  Captain Steve is great, worked his tail off for us and made the whole experience wonderful!

We had a great time and Captain Steve did a fantastic job of getting the kids to a place where they were ‘catching’ not just ‘fishing’. Children on their first few fishing trips don’t often have the patience skills yet so putting them where they could catch fish, even if they were little ones made the time fun.  Lots of happy memories and ‘fish stories’ were made!!
