Red Ed’s Adventures operates out of Homosassa, FL, offering full service fishing charters targeting the stunning variety of species found in the area. Located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Homosassa is a fisherman’s heaven both inshore and offshore, with endless sprawling bays and flats giving way to deep blue waters and vibrant reefs. To make the most of this amazing location Red Ed’s Adventures runs different vessels specially equipped to give the best experience in the waters you are fishing.
The boat you will be spending the day on, the “Red Eddie or Knot”, has been designed specifically for awesome offshore angling, and comes equipped with everything you will need for a great day on the water. Built in 2013, this 24’ Young center console can carry up to 4 anglers offshore at speeds of around 50 knots, meaning you waste no time getting to where you need to be.
The vessel is equipped with GPS and fishfinder to make sure you are in the right spot every time. Once you get there, you will be given tournament-grade tackle for a variety of techniques, and a choice of quality lures or live bait fresh from the tank to make sure you tempt in the best and biggest. If you are planning on pulling in a real monster, the Red Eddie or Knot also features a fighting chair, to give you the upper hand in even the most challenging of offshore battles.
Captain “Red” Ed is one of the few federally-licensed captains in town, meaning you can head way out past the state water line for the best offshore experience, and you can also enjoy the full federal Red Snapper season, which is everybody’s favorite time of year! During the summer months, Red Ed’s Adventures also offers scalloping trips. These are great fun for families and especially for the kids, and because you’re not going offshore there is room aboard for 6 guests on these trips, meaning the whole family can climb on board.
All trips come with tackle, bait, licenses, and a cleaning and filleting service for all your catch.
