Gulf Coastin Charters offers inshore fishing trips in the Tampa-St. Pete, FL area. Join Capt. Brian Gearhart and target Trout, Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Sheepshead, Snapper—and Fun!

You will fish aboard an 18’ Beavertail powered by a 115 HP Mercury engine. This boat comes with everything you need for inshore fishing, including two live bait wells, and a wireless trolling motor. On board you will find an ice box to store your catch and your drinks. There is room for up to 2 passengers aboard this vessel and children of all ages are welcome.

While fishing with Capt. Brian you will target your catch using light tackle. He provides St. Croix rods with Daiwa reels and is ready to teach anglers of any skill level about the techniques he uses. He is committed to providing a personalized experience and will do what he can to accommodate every angler on board.

While fishing inshore you might reel in a variety of species, including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Sheepshead, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Seabass, Permit, Mangrove Snapper, Tarpon, and Cobia when in season. Depending on the species, you may keep your catch and Capt. Brian will fillet it for you if he has the time to do so.

Gulf Coastin Charters provides a fishing license and all the gear you need. You may bring alcohol on board but no glass containers.

I have been fishing since I can remember and have owned a boat since I was 15. The majority of my early fishing years were spent fly fishing in small mountain creeks for native brook Trout. Later I became interested in tournament Bass fishing and played with this game for about 10 years. Then I got the bug for freshwater Striped Bass fishing. Moving to Southwest Virginia on Smith Mountain lake, I was catching Stripers consistently and had the seasonal patterns figured out. Now I am living on the West coast of Florida and fishing the salt water patterns. Most of my fishing now is in shore and with light tackle. Targeting species such as Trout, Snook, Snapper, Tarpon, Sheepshead, and Redfish.
