My son and I went on a 6 hour deep sea fishing charter and had a great time!
Captain Mike guided us nearly 20 miles (one-way) along the shelve just northwest of Nassau and Paradise Island.  Even though it was overcast, with mostly darker rain clouds and we got rained on for a small portion of the voyage… we managed to haul-in a few decent sized fish!

The main cabin had lots of room for our cooler and bags, as well as comfortable cushion seating where my son took a short Power Nap. 
Along the way, my son and I got to go up to the Helm and chat with Captain Mike for a bit!  Had to rush back down because we had a “FISH ON”!!!

The crew on deck with us were Lunkie and the Captains’ son Matthew… whom both mates did a fantastic and professional job overall with baiting and dropping the lines, keeping us entertained and engaged with stories and fish facts, etc…. And especially (most importantly) working with my 7 year old son, as he reeled in a very large Spanish Mackerel, a huge Barracuda and 2 smaller yellowtail snappers!  I also managed to pull in a big Barracuda as well.

We trolled both inshore and deep sea, even the shallow reefs along the distant coves had some action!

Overall, both my son and I had an experience of a life time that we enjoyed immensely.  so much so that we’re considering a summer trip to experience the challenge of catching the other seasonal fish!

We would recommend the Chubasco Sportfishing Charter to any one (of all ages) who are looking for an incredible time with good people, out on the water catching fish.

Captain Mike and his crew were great! We had a large group of eight, four couples. Captain Mike found us multiple locations to get everyone a fish, which kept the half-day excursion fun and fast pace. Booking was incredibly easy, and a member of Captian Mike’s team reached out almost immediately to provide details and offer assistance about getting to the pick-up location. Parking could be a little easier, but that was not Captain Mike’s fault; rather the Atlantis self-parking garage was down for the day. We valeted the car at Atlantis ($20 for the day) and took the five-minute walk to Margaritaville. Once onboard, we got right to finding birds. While we did not hit the action right away, after we got onto a school of fish, we were hitting three fish at a time. As others have mentioned, Mike’s First Mate (I believe Lowki or Lownki) is wonderful and a ton of fun. He is super enthusiastic and made sure everyone had a great time and caught a lot of fish.  Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely book with Captain Mike again.

I took my 11yo daughter fishing and we had a great time! Our trip started with a punctual and easy pickup from a dock near our hotel. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the morning troll fishing. The captain and took us through multiple fishing spots and the first mate showed us the ropes and had us reeling in fish in no time. We were more than happy with the fish we caught and our experience with Chubasco Fishing. We will go with them next time we are in Bahamas.
