Double M Outdoors - Astoria
Double M Outdoors specializes in fishing Oregon’s Columbia River, Willamette River, and the North Oregon Coast. Captain Matt Myers is an experienced guide and boat operator. He will use his knowledge and expertise to help you catch Oregon’s most sought-after species when and where they are biting the most!
Your trip will take place aboard a 26’ Alumaweld open guide model boat. This vessel is fitted with all safety equipment and features comfortable seating with armrests. There is room on board for up to 6 passengers and the deck is very roomy, even when full.
On your way to the fishing grounds, Captain Matt will get you up to speed so you can understand where you will be fishing that day and why. He will teach you the proper technique and all the steps you need to land fish, whether it’s Salmon, Sturgeon, Walleye, Crab, or Steelhead.
The time of year will determine exactly where you fish and what you catch. Depending on the season and your target species, the boat ride can be very short to fairly long. Rest assured that it will be scenic and enjoyable no matter where the fishing takes you.
August kicks off Astoria’s Buoy 10 Fishery, which is a chance to enjoy world class fishing for Chinook Salmon and Coho Salmon. Astoria is beautiful at this time of year and you can enjoy great weather along with great fishing.
By Labor Day weekend, you are likely to chase Chinook farther up the Columbia River, eventually all the way up to the Deschutes.
Double M Outdoors provides all the gear you need. Trips may depart anywhere from Astoria to Fairview, Oregon City, and The Dalles. Just be sure to bring a valid Oregon fishing license and food and drink for the day.
