The Dive Source
Located in beautiful St. Augustine, FL, The Dive Source offers up an exciting range of scuba diving spearfishing charters, as well as “hook and line” adventures for more traditional fishermen.
With over 20 years of experience when it comes to these waters, you’ll be in safe hands no matter how you choose to hook your catch! These waters are seriously plentiful, too, with anything from Wahoo, to King Mackerel, to huge Snapper and Grouper species on offer.
Ryan is the man behind this charter company, with plenty of spearfishing knowledge to his name, and he works alongside experienced dive guide Doug. If you want to explore these waters from below, they’ll be the ones joining you on your adventure. You’ll need to bring along a diving certificate to participate – the level you need depends on the trip you opt for.
No diving certificate or experience under your belt? The Dive Source has plenty of experience when it comes to casting a line or two, as well. On their more tradition “hook and line” adventures, you’ll be joined by local, passionated angler Captain Robbie Jr. He’s a knowledgable fisherman who loves introducing guests of all skill levels to these waters.
No matter what your adventure looks like, it’ll take place on board a 26’ Grady White dive boat, capable of accommodating 4 guests. As the name suggests, she’s perfectly built to accommodate diving adventures! There’s plenty of room on board for diving equipment, which will be provided for you, as well as the spearfishing gear and conventional rods and reels you’ll need.
Your target species will differ depending on the trip you choose. Scuba diving spearfishermen and women will have the chance to target King Mackerel, Amberjack, and Wahoo, whereas “hook and line” anglers can go after Grouper and Snapper (including Red Snapper), and even Shark species.
All you need to bring along are snacks, drinks, and a sense of adventure. Hop aboard The Dive Source and explore these waters from a whole new angle!
