Top Priority Charters operates out of Venice, FL, heading way out into federal waters to get you onto the biggest fish around. Running anywhere from 10 to 35 miles offshore, you will be able to target top species like Red and Gag Grouper, Red Snapper, and more without being limited by the state fishing seasons.
You will be fishing aboard a 31’ Contender sportfisher with plenty of room for four anglers. She has a head onboard to make long offshore trips more comfortable and a covered flybridge to cruise in style on your way to and from the dock.
Capt. David welcomes anglers of any age or experience level. He loves to teach children and beginners the basics and see them pull in their first fish and is just as happy working with skilled old-timers to bring in a massive haul. Capt. David will talk through your skills and your expectations ahead of the trip to build the perfect charter for you. Your fun is his Top Priority!
You will be mainly bottom fishing on your trip, targeting tasty table fish around various reefs and wrecks offshore. You will also have the chance to troll for fast-moving King Mackerel, Barracuda, and Cobia. If there is a certain species you really want to go after, like Tarpon or Goliath Grouper, just let Capt. David know and he will do his best to put you on a monster.
All Top Priority Charters trips come with quality tackle and plenty of fresh live bait. At the end of your trip, your fish will be cleaned and filleted for you, ready for the freezer or the frier. All you need to bring is your sunscreen, your camera, and any food and drinks you want for the day.
Capt. David is one of the few federally licensed captains in the Venice area! Check out what fishing for giants in federal waters looks like!
