I had originally booked a trip for a Friday to go fishing on the Susquehanna River for Smallmouth bass. The weather looked bad so luckily I was able to reschedule to the next Sunday. Met Captain Dave as prearranged and headed out to fish.  Dave really knows the water of the Susquehanna.  The fishing was on the slow side and the fish acted like they were post-spawn.  No concentration and Dave had to work to find the fish. We did land about 30 fish so his hard work paid off. Had a very enjoyable day. Would highly recommend Dave and plan to fish with him again.

I wanted to take my son bass fishing before he goes off to school, so we booked a day with Captain Dave.  Dave cautioned us that with hot days, high water temps, and low water levels, late July would be tough for smallmouth.  We decided to try anyway, and Dave came through. We met him at 0530 to take advantage of the first two hours of daylight. We caught a lot of fish, and quite a few of them later in the morning too.  Overall we had a great day… We want to try again in cooler weather, and we will definitely call Dave when we do.

This was the 1st time I took my son Patrick on a river fishing boat.  Our guide David Bruchey was an excellent fisherman and taught my son some new skills that he can use for a lifetime. I fished 2 days in a row and had a blast. David was very professional and I’m sure I’ll be fishing with him in the future. My wife and daughter want to fish the Susquehanna River now too.

I booked this trip in the dead of Summer on an incredibly hot day. Water was over 85 degrees, and Captain Dave’s still got us on the fish well enough that my daughter caught her largest bass yet! Was super kind, incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. You made my daughter’s day which made my day! Looking forward to booking again in the fall or spring!

Our trip was fantastic! We booked the eight hour Smallmouth Bass trip on the Susquehanna. Dave reached out before the trip and told us exactly what to bring and where to be. We were on the water from 6:30 to 3:00 and Dave would have happily stayed out later. We met at a diner for breakfast to get the day started. Dave was a pleasure to talk with and is incredibly knowledgeable about fishing and the Susquehanna. He had us using a variety of lures throughout the day. Our boat caught about fifty fish including Smallmouth and one Walleye. Dave thought it was a slow day. Dave taught us how to fish with tubes which was a blast. He is tournament fisher and sponsored by a variety of companies. I highly recommend him for your next fishing trip and hope to be back on the water with him again soon! Thanks Dave!
