Booked the half-day all inclusive package for my brother-in-law and 3 of our kids (11,10, and 7) and couldn’t have imagined a better day. We were scheduled to depart at 6:00 am. At 5:24 I received a message through the app that they were ready for us!  When you arrive at the dock we had to go into a nearby mini-mart and purchase fishing licenses for $20 each (adults only). Luckily there was no line when we arrived so we got in and out quickly. But the line built up while we were purchasing. I would recommend arriving early.

Apart from the message through the App Edgardo also started calling around 5:50 to make sure we were arriving. I appreciated the communication.

Edgardo introduced us to the captain, Carlos, and first mate, Christian. Carlos didn’t talk very much. Christian was friendly, knowledgable, and very quick with all the gear.  There was a cooler inside the boat full of cold drinks.  I was told there were box lunches available inside but we had snacks and never asked about it so can’t comment on quality of food.

Anyway, fishing was slow to start. We caught 2 skip jacks in our first two hours.  We were mentally preparing ourselves for a day of just catching tuna which would have been fine, but then the fish started biting!  We hauled in 3 Dorado.  We had a 4th on the line but it broke free just as we were going to pull it in.  A few times over the afternoon Carlos and Christian scrambled as we got a nip on the live bait set out for the marlin.  We didn’t want to get our hopes up but after 4 hours one hit! It was awesome.  Took about 20 minutes to haul in.  Christian gave us the option to keep it but we decided to throw it back. We did keep one of the Dorado and gave the other two to the fellas.  Christian filleted them up on the boat and put it on ice.

In total we caught 7 Skip Jack, 3 Dorado, and 1 Marlin. It was an unbelievably perfect day. Would highly recommend this half-day trip!

5 stars all around! From the initial booking to obtaining fishing licenses, to delicious sandwiches, everything was fantastic! We are a Family of 4 and chartered the Wahoo for a half day of fishing. Shortly after we left the marina, we had 3 marlin on the lines! One was able to break free, I hauled one in, and my wife the other. It was awesome! The crew was extremely helpful and worked quickly to assure the fish were able to be photographed, and released back into the water in a matter of minutes. We trolled a while longer before my Son caught a Skipjack Tuna. What an experience for all of us. The boat was clean, big enough for all of us and the crew were top notch. We enjoyed seeing the whales and pods of dolphins throughout our morning. Our fishing trip was worth every penny! Will most definitely book the Wahoo again next time we are in Cabo!

Fantastic day with the guys on the Wahoo. We were out of the marina at 6am sharp. The first mate Christian spoke perfect English. We asked to either go for dorado or reef fishing( snapper grouper). They explained the reef bite was very slow due to warm water so dorado it was! We had 3 dorado on the boat by 9am(25, 15, 15 lbs) We then got a striped marlin. We weren’t really targeting marlin but it was a fun fight with a clean release. We kept after the dorado with no luck. Late in the day hooked into another marlin which we also released. Great day with a great crew. Will book with them again.

We booked with Edgardo on the WAHOO 33 the second week in January 2023.  We wanted to specifically target Dorado.  They put us right on them and we had a blast!!  We caught enough to take 20 pounds of vaccu-sealed filets home after we cooked and ate several at our condo.  Captain Carlos and mates Ivan and Christian were first class, and the boat was very comfortable.  Very nice padded lounges in the stern that were big enough to nap on and stay out of the sun, clean head and napping quarters down below as well.  Perfect sportsfisher boat.  Thanks y’all!  We will definitely be back!

We had a great half day trip for 2 fishermen! Booking and the process to get on the boat was seamless. Our captain and first mate, Christian, were top notch on saying what they were going to do, find dinner and then find trophies. We limited out in Mahi within an hr which we wanted for lunch/ dinner at the dock and then took us out deeper to search for Marlin and we found a beautiful Marlin that we fought for a good long hour! Looking forward to going back and also appreciated the recommendation for the restaurant to cook our fresh fish. One of our better meals of the trip!
